The Borough of Manhattan Community College supports and strongly encourages every student to pursue and complete at least one type of approved experiential learning opportunity prior to completion of study. The Office of Internships and Experiential Learning was established in fall 2015 to support and develop opportunities and to build new relationships with industry partners.

Experiential learning allows students to apply knowledge gained and produce evidentiary skills and outcomes to better understand the global job market and transfer to the next destination, whether that be workforce or degree program.

Nancy joined the office of Internships and Experiential Learning in April 2016 as Internship Specialist. She was previously Employer Relations and Internship Coordinator in the Office of Career Services at New York Law School where she coordinated recruitment events for students with employers nationwide and administered student’s internship requests along with site assignments. As Internship Specialist, Nancy cultivates relationships with employers in all areas of the job market to develop more experiential opportunities in addition to developing programs and resources for BMCC students in all majors.

Nancy graduated from Berkeley College with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management. When she is not checking out all that NYC has to offer, she is traveling and dancing somewhere around the world.
