Faculty and Academics

BMCC offers more than 50 academic programs, taught by a quality faculty, and with support for our students to help them succeed.

Faculty

The faculty at BMCC does more than teach; they publish, mentor and advise, and very often become a student’s best role model. In and out of the classroom, students at BMCC get to know and work along side accomplished academics, scientists, writers, and performers. There are 544 full-time and 952 part-time faculty members.

Academic programs

BMCC offers more academic opportunities than any other public institution in the city. Courses in over 60 subjects lead students to two-year professional-technical degree, provide continuing education opportunities or prepare them to pursue a four-year bachelor’s degree at some of the most prestigious senior colleges in the U.S.

Our study abroad programs, internship opportunities, directed study, and CUNY BA programs allow BMCC students to truly customize their education.
