Study Abroad Application for Faculty
Departments with approved study abroad courses can apply to run a study abroad program in summer 2023. The designated faculty coordinator must submit a BMCC Study Abroad Coordinator Application, International Program Budget Spreadsheet and CUNY Partner Provider Survey(s) by October 3, 2022:

New Study Abroad Courses
We encourage faculty across departments to consider leading a study abroad program. If you would like to develop a study abroad course, you may refer to the Curriculum Committee Procedures for proposing a new course. All courses must be approved by the governance process. Faculty Timeline Guidelines
The study abroad cycle generally entails:
- October – February: student recruitment for study abroad program/s
- February – March: student application review; faculty orientation
- March – May: student orientation; flights and payments to vendors
- August: faculty post-trip report and expense report
Travel Guidelines
BMCC expects faculty to travel with the group to and from the country. Faculty will receive support from departments across campus to ensure the safety of all study abroad participants. Learn more about CUNY travel guidelines:
