Healing Rhythms: Drumming Circle
Come join the Counseling Center to learn about and partake in the healing practice of drumming. Students will be able to learn from an expert drummer and cultural nutritionist, Baba Atiba, and experience the healing power of the drum. No musical experience needed, just an openness to learning. The drum awaits!

Healing Through Hip-Hop

Enjoy hip-hop? Curious about how it can help you process emotions and heal? Join Healing Through Hip-Hop, a transformative biweekly program where creativity meets personal growth. Dive into the art of lyricism, beat-making, and self-expression, all while exploring how hip-hop can be a powerful tool for healing. The program will culminate in a dynamic showcase where participants can share their journeys and creations with the community. Come discover the rhythm of resilience—no prior experience required!

Music Production
Join us for a creative jam session where music meets mental wellness. Whether you’re playing an instrument or tapping out beats on a MIDI keyboard, expressing yourself through sound can be a powerful way to reduce stress and boost your mood. No experience needed—just show up, make some noise, and feel the lift.

Peaceful Potions
Stop by the table outside of the Counseling Center and create your own calming “potion” to take home. This interactive, hands-on activity uses color, glitter, and motion to make a visual tool that can help ease stress and quiet busy thoughts. A perfect pause for your mind during De-Stress Fest!

Life Dance/Biodanza
Join Life Dance/Biodanza, a therapeutic practice blending music, movement, and group dynamics to enhance emotional and physical well-being. Rooted in the primal power of dance, it fosters a connection with oneself, others, and nature through rhythmic, life-affirming movement. Created by Chilean Rolando Toro Araneda, this practice evokes deep, transformative experiences that promote joy, intimacy, and healing. Facilitated by Pablo Concha. Open to all BMCC students, staff, and faculty.
