Immigrant Resource Center

At BMCC we understand that the immigration system impacts undocumented and immigrant students within and outside the classroom. The Immigrant Resource Center, housed within BMCC’s Center for Belonging and Inclusion, provides holistic services that center students’ mental health and well-being. We center on community building, leadership and self-advocacy as a way of resistance to xenophobic immigration policies that impact student lives.

At BMCC we believe everyone, regardless of where they were born, should have equitable access to a college education, a meaningful career, and opportunities to contribute to the communities they call home.

Counseling Center

If you feel anxious about the uncertainty many are experiencing due to significant changes in federal policies, please know that you can access the services of the Counseling Center. Counselors assist students in addressing psychological and adjustment issues (i.e., depression, anxiety, and relationships) and other challenges, including stress/time management, that can negatively impact academic performance, student retention, graduation rates, and overall quality of life.

Counseling is free and confidential for all currently enrolled students. Counseling sessions are by appointment only. Request an appointment for personal counseling.
