Partnerships with Employers

BMCC’s Center for Career Development establishes partnerships with employers, which are of benefit to both our students and the employers. These partnerships create career paths which include skills development, internships and job opportunities.

Morgan Stanley Mentoring Program

The Morgan Stanley Mentoring Program is a 10-week professional development and mentoring initiative designed to connect qualified BMCC students with experienced professionals from Morgan Stanley. This program blends virtual and in-person meetings, offering students valuable insight into finance, banking, and internal audit, while helping them build professional networks and develop career-ready skills. For more information please contact Katherine Bedoya, Senior Career Advisor.

Previous Partnerships

Grow with Google

BMCC’s Center for Career Development had partnered with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), for the Grow with Google Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Career Readiness Program. The program helped students develop the digital skills they needed to find and secure internships and jobs that will help them build successful careers. The program was open to students from all majors and collegiate levels.

Here is a quick overview:

Path 1: Build Your Digital Skills: Students explore a variety of Google digital tools and learn how to use them to increase productivity in the workplace and in everyday life.

Path 2: Explore Career Paths: Students research possible career paths to discover a career that is right for them. Then, they create a career plan and start networking to find a job in that field.

Path 3: Land a Great Job: Students receive tips on writing a resume and cover letter and learn how to stand out in interviews while conveying their personal brand throughout.

Path 4: Succeed at Your New Job: Students learn how to overcome biases and barriers that may impact professional success.

Path 5: Start Your Own Business: Students explore the steps to writing a business plan, learn how to set up an online store, and estimate the financing they will need to create their own business. Learn how to get started on Skillshop by creating your account here.
