Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Food Stamps)

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture that provides extra income for food that can be purchased at most supermarkets and grocery stores.

Advocacy and Resource Center staff can assist in identifying the Human Resources Administration (HRA) locations where applications can be submitted. While we do not currently have staff members assisting with SNAP applications, we do provide the link to Access HRA, where students can directly apply to SNAP. Individuals can apply for SNAP, Cash Assistance, HEAP, Medicaid, and Fair Fares NYC.
