Faculty Guidance on Accommodate

In January 2025 CUNY moved to CUNY Accommodate, a new student disability management system. This platform streamlines the management of requests for accommodations and services provided by Disability Services Offices (DSOs) on every campus. For more information on Accommodate, please visit the CUNY Accommodate webpage.

In the past, the Office of Accessibility would notify faculty via e-mail to inform them of a student’s accommodations. Faculty will now receive a notification directly from Accommodate outlining a student’s accommodations.

Below is an example of a faculty notification:

CUNY Accommodate
A student in your class has been approved for accommodations by the Office of Disability Services (ODS). An Accommodation Letter for your student has been sent to CUNY Accommodate for you to view.

You may have questions about these accommodations based on your unique course content. Reach out to the Office of Disability Services, ODS will work with you to ensure access for the student.

Please sign into CUNY Accommodate to view the Accommodation Letter. Link for Faculty and Students

Please do not respond directly to this message. If you have any questions, contact your Disability Services office.

To login, visit the CUNY Accommodate Portal and select the Faculty option.

Please note to access the resources the webpage will require you to login in with your CUNY login username and password.
