Women’s Herstory Month: The Anti-Violence Against Women Act: Strategies for Representation, Empowerment and Self Determination

Women's Herstory Month The Power of the Intentional Woman Past, Present and Future

This will be a panel discussion / Interactive Session  where the panelists will introduce the Anti Violence Against Women Act (AVAWA) as we commemorate the International Day for Women on Friday, March 8.

Join us in a conversation about the following:

1: The Legal Construction of the  Anti-Violence Against Women (AVAWA) Bill, its constitutionality, and the discussion on the Supremacy of the constitution (Lawyers and AV Group).

2: The AVAWA Network and its benefit to Various groups: We will have representation from Queen mothers, traditional Rulers, and Women’s Political Advocates, discuss their role and support and partnership for AVAWA, as well as women’s associations and cooperatives.

3: The AVAWA App which is a women’s service directory, its technicality, utilitarianism, and usability (user-friendliness) this will be an interactive presentation.

4. Question and Answer session after the 3 topic presentations: for speakers and the university community to catch up and exchange ideas that will be mutually beneficial to attendees and organizers.

CCT: Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT) credit approved. Attend two or more CCT approved events for CCT credit.
