Peer Mentoring Program

The BMCC UMLA Each One Reach One (EORO) Peer Mentoring Program is the only student retention program in CUNY that was started by BMCC student leaders. EORO provides peer mentors to help students reach their academic and personal goals.

Each One Reach One peer mentor can assist you with the following and more:

  • Building meaningful connections and resources at the college
  • Improving your study skills, note-taking, and critical thinking
  • Test and paper preparation
  • Enhancing your time management, organizational skills, and setting priorities
  • Establishing and/or achieving short-term and long-term goals
  • Adapting to the BMCC environment and “navigating the maze” of college
  • Networking
  • Formulating a plan to raise your GPA
  • Connecting you to various support services in the college (counseling, tutoring, etc.)
  • Learning about scholarships, jobs, and other opportunities you may not be aware of

Professional and Alumni Mentoring Program

The Each One Reach One Professional and Alumni mentoring program’s faculty and staff mentors support BMCC students by connecting them with mentors who can provide valuable guidance, career networking, and professional development.

  • Personalized Mentorship: Each student is paired with a dedicated mentor, ensuring tailored guidance.
  • Career Networking: Students gain access to a broad network of professionals, opening doors to internships and career opportunities.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Engage in sessions that equip students with essential skills for success.
  • Academic Support: Provide access to tutoring and personalized study plans.
  • Professional Development: Assist students in preparing for the workforce with resume-building and interview workshops.
