PSC-CUNY Research Awards

PSC CUNY Research Grants – Next Cycle Opens in Fall 2024

The Office of Sponsored Programs would like to encourage all faculty and instructional staff to consider submitting a PSC-CUNY Research Grant. Last year, 43 BMCC faculty won over $200,000 in PSC-CUNY grant awards to fund their research projects.

The PSC-CUNY Research Grants – Cycle 55 support academically relevant research across all disciplines. Proposals must include original research or creative activities by the principal investigator (PI). Three award types are available:

  • Traditional A: up to $3,500
  • Traditional B: $3,600 to $6,000
  • Enhanced: $6,500 to $12,000

Eligibility – Full-time members of the instructional staff may apply, including faculty, Higher Education Officers (HEOs) and College Laboratory Technicians (CLTs). Only one application per person.

First Steps – If you’re interested, your first step is to submit a Notice of Intent to Submit and a Non-PHS Disclosure of Conflict of Interest to the BMCC Office of Sponsored Programs. Forms route to grants@bmcc.cuny.edu, and the Office of Sponsored Programs will secure necessary approvals for your grant.

Next – Create a Grants Proposal account if you don’t have one already.

Support – Reach out to Dean Judith Eisenberg at jeisenberg@bmcc.cuny.edu with your questions. All proposers must submit their budget and package for review during November.

December 15 – the Grant Proposal system closes.
