The New York State Part-time Scholarship Award Program provides scholarship awards to students who attend a CUNY or SUNY community college on a part-time basis and maintain a 2.0 GPA. The program provides tuition awards that cover the cost of six credit hours to students who are enrolled in at least 6 but less than 12 credits.

Part-Time TAP
Part-Time TAP is a program from New York State that allows for partial TAP payments for students taking 6 to 11 credits. This program is available to CUNY, SUNY and Not-for-Profit independent degree granting college students who meet the specified requirements. To apply you must complete a FAFSA and a TAP application.
To receive Part-Time TAP you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a New York State resident
- Be admitted into a degree program
- Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0 or higher
- Register for at least six credit hours, but less than 12 credits
- Maintain good academic standing
Apply for the 2022-23 award year by 6/30/2023 via the TAP application.
