Connecting the community to college

BMCC recognizes the important role Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) play in the personal, academic and professional growth of their program participants. We are committed to improving college access for all by partnering with CBOs to help students overcome barriers and support their transition to college.

Support from enrollment to graduation

BMCC supports its diverse population with specialized programs and services – advisement, tutoring, child care, English-language learning, counseling, mentoring, food pantry and more to help students balance college life with multiple personal and professional responsibilities.

A high quality, better value education

Whether it’s nursing, criminal justice, business, childhood and secondary education, media arts and technology, engineering, computer science, sociology, or public health, BMCC has a wide array of academic programs that prepare students to succeed in a variety of career fields.

Paying for college

70% of our students attend tuition-free because of financial aid and scholarships to cover college costs. Advocacy Resource Center (ARC) financial benefits connect students to local community services to overcome financial barriers, stay in school and graduate.

Flexible learning options

Earn an associate degree at your own pace, on your own time – in class, online; off-site, on the weekends; day or night.

Cohort success programs

Students in our college readiness (Math Start/CUNY Start) and success programs benefit from a community of staff and peers who provide personalized support to persist and thrive at BMCC.

Learning in the classroom and the city

In the heart of Tribeca, steps away from Wall Street and the World Trade Center, BMCC’s campus life personifies the excitement and culture of New York City.

Successful alumni

Over 75% of graduates enroll in further education with credits that easily transfer to 4-year colleges. BMCC alumni are prepared for well-paying, exciting career fields that bring financial security for themselves and their families.
