At CUNY in The Heights (CITH), BMCC brings more educational opportunities to Inwood, Washington Heights and the Bronx communities by creating multiple pathways to academic, career and personal advancement. To make learning accessible for all, BMCC offers a variety of programs and services that operate at the newly renovated CUNY in The Heights location.

  • Academic Credit-Bearing Courses: We offer a wide range of courses you can take, leading to an associate degree.
  • ASAP: CUNY’s highly successful associate degree completion program, will provide you with a range of academic, financial and personalized supports to help you earn your associate degree as quickly as possible.

  • Manhattan Education Opportunity Center (MEOC): We offer free courses in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and High School Equivalency Preparation as well as free job training courses in Security Officer Training and OSHA Workplace Safety.
  • IHOPE: We provide support and training to single parents interested in careers in healthcare or information technology. Fully funded courses of study include Medical Billing and Coding, Certified Nurse Assistant, Cybersecurity and more.
  • Adult Continuing Education and Workforce Development: We offer fee-based and free career training certificate programs in subjects like Medical Assistant Training, CompTIA A+ Certification and Hemodialysis.

  • High School Equivalency Diploma: If you are between 18 and 21 don’t have a high school diploma and would like one now, please consider our High School Equivalency Diploma courses. If you are over 21, our Hector B. Assora Attain Lab has these courses as well.
  • Project Impact: This is an innovative program designed to meet the needs of students who are at risk of or who have been impacted by the justice system and help with a smooth transition to college.

CUNY in The Heights (see map) is located at 5030 Broadway between 213th and 214th Streets in Manhattan.
– Take the A train to 207th Street and then
– Walk 3 blocks north to 213th and Broadway.
OR
– Take the 1 train to 215th St. and Broadway. When you exit the station just walk one block south and the building is there on 214th St. and Broadway.
