Mission
Conexiones & Connections (C&C) at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) supports the mission of the College and the City University of New York by providing a network of role models to clarify career paths and develop individualized academic plans that will empower students to make informed choices at the different stages of their personal development.
Conexiones & Connections at BMCC works in partnership with faculty, administrators, and staff members across various home and partner campus offices to engage in guided activities which are comprehensive and specific to students needs from registration and placement to degree completion.
Goals
- Improve retention among students by creating a structured and seamless network of support services.
- Increase student success by improving faculty and staff expertise in culturally sensitive pedagogy.
- Expand transfer opportunities for students among CUNY’s eleven senior colleges.
- Introduce innovative career planning resources for students.
