Our inaugural Afrikan Heritage Month Luncheon will feature two prominent speakers, Joy Bivins, Director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, and Cheryl Wills, an Emmy award-winning journalist and author. The veteran television journalist will share the powerful and inspiring story of her ancestor Sandy Wills, a former slave and Civil War soldier, who served with the United States Colored Troops.
