Afrikan Heritage Month: Afrikan American Art Centers Black Cultural Representatives

February 25 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
| 199 Chambers St., Room N-453

Afrikan Heritage Month 2025

Join us for an art exhibit and workshop featuring the Artist Lenox Commissiong. The exhibit presents Lenox’s artwork. A master of pointillist art, Lenox discusses his creative process and inspiration for his artwork as well as theĀ  New York City art industry, the business world of buying and selling art and how to promote and market your artwork.

The workshop focuses on specific pieces of artwork, discussing colors, proper lighting and shades of colors, with the artist demonstrating pointillist art form and technique. The audience will be invited to participate in creating a piece of artwork using the pointillism technique. Art materials/supplies will be provided.

A question-and-answer session follows the workshop while food and drinks are served.
