  • I specialize in Human-Robot Interaction, Robotics, AI, and Cybersecurity Education.
  • I collaborate with industry partners biannually to create assessment tools that evaluate their technical skills when applying for internships and apprenticeships to help students
    from the CIS department succeed.
  • I also develop experiential learning activities, such as bootcamps, hackathons, and innovation challenges to bridge the skills gap.
  • I facilitate mock interviews and advise Industry Specialists on the latest skill demands in the tech industry, ensuring students are well-prepared for their careers.6

How I support CUNY 2X Tech Students:

  • I support CUNY 2X Tech students by facilitating seamless transitions from BMCC to senior colleges for majors in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Network Technology (CNT), Computer Science (CSC), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • I coordinate transfer activities between BMCC and partnering institutions, and organize senior college transfer workshops to ensure that graduating students have the resources and guidance needed to continue their academic and professional journeys in tech.

How I support CUNY 2X Tech Students:

  • I serve as the internship coordinator for the CIS department.
  • I collaborate closely with the Office of Internships and Experiential Learning, as well as industry professionals, to share relevant internship opportunities with CIS students.
  • Part of my role involves ensuring that students applying for internships meet the qualifications set by the host organizations.
  • I also mentor and advise students in the areas of database systems, web development, and programming languages.
