The Science Department at BMCC delivers quality coursework to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in a variety of degree programs and pre-professional studies. The Department offers A.S. degree programs in Science (SCI), Forensic Science (FSC), Biotechnology (BTE) and Engineering Science (ESC). In addition, the Department offers courses for students interested in pursuing Nursing (NUR), Respiratory Therapy (RTT), Health Information Technology (HIT), Paramedic (EMC) and other allied health careers. Courses are offered for non-science majors to fulfill their degree requirements. Whether a student is transferring to a four-year school or completing their studies at BMCC, the Science Department offers courses and activities to help.

Many faculty are engaged in active research at BMCC and interested students have an opportunity to work closely with professors to obtain an independent research experience.
