Wilfred Cotto

Wilfred Cotto joined BMCC in spring 2013 as the Student Life Specialist for Veterans Services in Student Affairs. Mr. Cotto comes to us most recently with experience from Department of Veterans Affairs, where he served as a Program Specialist. He was the former Director of Veterans Affairs at the City University of New York. Mr. Cotto served on active duty in the U. S. Navy from July 1977 to September 2005. His last tour of duty was onboard the USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63), home-ported in Yokosuka, Japan, where he served as a Senior Enlisted Advisor and Retention Program Manager. During his career in the Navy he made several combat deployments to the Persian Gulf in support of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He holds his Master of Arts from Chapman University.
