Candidate for Treasurer

My name is Sabbir Rahman, and I am honored to stand before you today as a candidate for SGA Treasurer for the 2025-2026 academic year. As a current SGA senator, I have worked tirelessly to support students, advocate for their needs, and ensure that our resources are used to benefit everyone.
During my term, I have:
- Allocated funding for Iftar meals, creating an inclusive space for all students.
- Secured funding for a new table tennis setup to promote student engagement.
- Advocated for international students in Albany alongside my fellow senators.
- Assisted clubs and student organizations in navigating funding and activities.
- Helped secure more funding for CUNY to support students across the system.
As your treasurer, I will ensure that student funds are managed wisely and transparently. I will continue advocating for more resources, funding student activities that enhance our college experience, and making financial processes more accessible for clubs and organizations.
Most importantly, my office will always be open to every student. Whenever you need help, have questions, or want to discuss ideas, you are always welcome to come by. Your voice matters, and I will always be here to listen and support you.
