Dr. Musa Elbulok’s Appointment to Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning

Dear BMCC Community,

I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Musa Elbulok as Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning, effective immediately. This follows a comprehensive search and reflects Dr. Elbulok’s outstanding leadership since becoming Acting Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning in 2024.

Dr. Elbulok joined BMCC in 2017 as Institutional Research Manager and advanced to Director of Institutional Research and Data Analysis in 2021. In his new role, he will continue to lead the analysis and reporting of crucial data impacting the College’s Strategic Plan, programs, and policies. Dr. Elbulok will spearhead compliance with federal, state, city, and CUNY reporting requirements, grant applications, and projects. As the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for MSCHE, he will ensure BMCC remains current on all accreditation matters. His responsibilities also encompass overseeing research and reporting activities, collaborating on academic program reviews, and assessing student learning.

Dr. Elbulok holds a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College. His statistical and analytical acumen are an asset to the College, and the significant impact he has had on BMCC’s strategic direction and institutional effectiveness.
