A Message of Hope and Renewal as Passover Approaches

Dear BMCC Community,

As we approach Passover, a time of reflection and renewal, I want to share a message of hope and resilience. This year, Passover begins at sundown on April 12 and concludes at nightfall on April 20.

This important festival commemorates the liberation of the Jewish people from enslavement in Egypt, a powerful story of freedom and perseverance that resonates across cultures and generations.

Passover is a time for remembrance, for family, and for reflecting on the enduring values of hope, freedom, and justice. As many in the Jewish community observe this significant holiday, I am reminded of the words of the Israeli poet, Hayim Nahman Bialik: “Though the sun be darkened and heaven be shut, we will not cease to sing.”

Bialik’s words are a testament to the enduring human spirit, our ability to find light even in the darkest of times. They remind us that even when faced with adversity, we must never lose our voice, our hope, or our belief in a brighter future.

At BMCC, we embrace this spirit of resilience and strive to create a community where every student feels empowered to achieve their dreams. As you gather with loved ones to celebrate Passover, may you find strength in tradition, hope in the future, and joy in the shared experience.

Have a happy Passover. Chag Pesach Sameach!

Sincerely,

Dr. Anthony E. Munroe
