Borough of Manhattan Community College Celebrates 40th Commencement

Borough Manhattan Community College students and their families, faculty, and administrators will celebrate the fortieth Commencement exercises on Friday, June 3 at 11:30 a.m. in the Theater at Madison Square Garden. BMCC President Antonio Pérez will preside over the ceremony, as 2,182 graduates--695 with high honors—will receive their diplomas.

Modern Language Professor Awarded Feliks Gross Endowment Award

Hilario Barrero, assistant professor of modern languages, is the recipient of a 2005 Feliks Gross Endowment Award. Given by the CUNY Academy for the Humanities and Sciences, the award, now in its sixth year, honors emerging scholars for their research and scholarly achievements.
