Jonny has performed on stage at various theaters throughout New York City and also has film, television, and commercial credits under his belt. Born and raised in the Lower East Side of New York City, a project kid who used acting as an avenue to fulfill a life-long ambition of becoming a dedicated educator. The goal is to inspire students, especially those coming from a similar circumstance, to exercise their right to speak and discover the power of their voices in order to help them change their worlds. The ability to communicate through sound with strength, conviction, and knowledge to achieve a goal is often overlooked in daily life and the purpose of a speech course should be to awaken the students to their vocal value in private, public, political, and professional situations. Acting and public speaking are very similar in that the performer must research and recognize the high stakes of the given circumstances, be fully committed to strive towards their objective with a full life behind every word, and exhibit the poise required to appear confident, truthful, and human. I demand this from my students.
