John Hodgkins writes about modern and contemporary literature and cinema, with a particular emphasis on issues of intertextuality and adaptation. He is the author of The Drift: Affect, Adaptation, and New Perspectives on Fidelity, published by Bloomsbury, and his essays have appeared in such publications as College Literature, Film and History, Adaptation, Journal of Popular Film and Television, and Journal of Adaptation in Film and Performance, among others.
