The arts have the power to transform and Christina Neubrand has used the skills learned as an artist to transform a variety of positions, responsibilities and goals into a well-rehearsed and effective production. She is currently teaching Public Speaking and Theatre 100 at BMCC as well as Communication Across Cultures at LIM College. Christina is also Executive Manager for an Ad-Tech start up under Cantu Holdings. After earing her M.A. in Educational Theatre from N.Y.U. she has spent the last 15 years working in a variety of capacities for multiple schools and organizations as manager, trainer and facilitator to promote community, social emotional wellness, and effective communication using the arts as a catalyst. Christina is also active in the arts scene directing and performing with companies like Looking Glass Theatre, Ally Theatre Company, The Movement Theatre Company and Black Orchid. Her current passion project is a non-profit, The AJ Project she helped start to promote organ donor awareness through the arts in honor of her friend and colleague, the late A.J. Perrelli

Courses Taught
- The aim of this course is to develop effective skills in speech communication. The student examines how to generate topics and organized ideas, masters elements of audience psychology and practices techniques of speech presentation in a public forum. All elements of speech production and presentation are considered.
- The collaborative nature of the theatrical event will be explored in readings, presentations, play attendance, papers and creative projects. Contributions of the playwright, actor, director, designer, architect, critic, producer and audience will be investigated through selected periods, genres, theatre spaces and styles of production. The student's potential roles and responsibilities in creating theatre will be emphasized.
Research and Projects
The AJ Project is based on the artistic passions of its name sake Anthony “AJ” Perrelli and his ultimate Gift of Life Organ Donation. Our goal is to create a network of like minded artist that will create, educate and cultivate the arts while promoting organ donor awareness. #4AJ.
