This workshop offers advanced writing students an additional tool for analyzing arguments, by exploring the primary or central question a writer is asking in their work. This aspect of analysis is taken from foundational debate theory.
Exploring central questions gives students the opportunity to discuss the real world implications of a writer’s work, whether that be a perception the writer wants to challenge, a way of behaving a writer wants to change, or a policy or rule the writer thinks is misguided.
All Writing Center workshops are discussion-based, take place online, and are free to BMCC students.
Sign up for this workshop and we will send you the Zoom link to attend.
