Pride Month 2024: The Life and Death of Marsha P. Johnson – Movie Screening and Panel with Activist Victoria Cruz and Director David France

October 30, 2024 at 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
| Theatre II, 199 Chambers St.

Pride Month 2024

Marsha P. Johnson was an icon in the LGBTQIA+ community and a leader in the movement for our rights. This documentary explores her death and celebrates her legacy. We will begin the evening with a time to socialize and get to know other members of our community and allies. At 5:40, we will screen the film, followed by a Q & A period with activist Victoria Cruz and the director of the film, David France. We invite the BMCC and CUNY communities to commemorate this remarkable activist and uplift her work, and carry on this movement that she had a hand in starting.

This event is open to all CUNY community members.

This event is made possible due to generous funding from the New York City Council Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual Caucus and the Office of the Mayor, and supported by The LaGuardia and Wagner Archives.
