International Students: Maintaining Status – An F-1 Travel Workshop

During the “Maintaining Status/F-1 Travel Workshop” an ISSO advisor will discuss F-1 regulations and the best methods for traveling outside of the United States over summer break.

• What is the difference between and F-1 “visa” and F-1 “status?”
• How to I maintain status?
• What do I need to do if I want to travel outside the U.S. during spring, summer, or winter breaks?
• How do I renew my F-1 visa? Do I need to renew it to travel?

Attend this workshop sponsored by the International Student Services Office (ISSO) to learn the answers to these questions and more. An ISSO advisor will review F-1 regulations to ensure that BMCC international students are in compliance with all U.S. Government regulations. Additionally, an ISSO advisor will also discuss the best methods for traveling outside of the United States.
