Kate Sweeney is an Adjunct Instructor in the Speech, Communication, and Theatre Department. She has taught communication courses at Columbia University, Baruch College, NYC College of Technology and BMCC. She is pursuing her doctorate in education at Columbia’s Teachers College in Adult Learning and Leadership. When not teaching or attending classes, Kate works with clients both in the United States and abroad on communication and leadership skills. Prior to her work in education, she spent 13 years in the United States Army as a Chinese, Italian and French linguist, where she gained her passion for teaching and leading others.
