Darcy Heller Sternberg teaches public speaking at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY). Her students inspired her to write Hearts Afire.
Darcy is also a freelance writer whose first person essays have appeared in The New York Times,The Plain Dealer Sunday Magazine, The Litchfield County Times, Caregiver.com and writersreadonline.com As an actress she trained at The Guildford School of Acting in Guildford, England where she performed in a variety of fringe theatre. Regionally she has appeared in New York City, New Jersey and at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Darcy’s play Bubbleheads will premiere at Theater for the New City’s Dream Up Festival 2015 this September.
