Hispanic Heritage Month: Recordando a Ana Mendieta: Conversación con Sonia Rivera-Valdés

Hispanic Heritage Month 2024

This event will be attended by Cuban writer Sonia Rivera-Valdés, author of the book of short stories Ana en cuatro tiempos, inspired by the life and work of sculptor Ana Mendieta, a friend of the author.

Refreshments will be served.

2-2:15 p.m.: Settling in, getting some food
2:15-3 p.m.: Dr. Broussard’s talk: “Confronting Race, Gender and Ability Bias in Tech”
                       – Question and answer session
3-3:45 p.m.: Dr Smith’s talk: “Toward Meaningful Computing”
                       – Question and answer session
3:45-4 p.m.: Celebration of students who graduated from the new STEM in Psychology program
