Candidate for Vice President
United Slate
Hello BMCC Community,
My name is Nthabiseng Masinga, and I am running to be your Vice President for the Student Government Association. The name Nthabiseng means “Make me happy,” This name is not only a reflection of who I am but a call to action for all of us to create joy, inspire one another, and build a community where we thrive together.
I am majoring in Science for Health, a field that combines biology, chemistry, and even psychology to help improve people’s lives. Whether it is through diagnosing diseases, improving healthcare delivery, or learning about the latest health innovations, the goal is always to make a tangible difference. And as your Vice President, I want to bring that same passion for problem-solving, care, and change into our student body, working to ensure we all have the support we need to succeed.
True success goes beyond academics. It is about all the other things that help us succeed: access to resources, support in times of need, and the opportunity to thrive without financial hardship holding us back. Together, we deserve the chance to achieve our dreams, without worrying about textbooks we cannot afford or classes we cannot attend because of financial stress.
Malcolm X said, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.” I stand for us, the students. I stand for each of us striving to succeed, facing obstacles, and dreaming of a brighter future. As your Vice President, I will work tirelessly to be the voice that represents you, to make sure your needs are heard, and to turn our collective dreams into reality. This is not about me this is about us. Together, we will make sure no one is left behind, no one feels invisible, and no one faces their challenges alone.
Vote for a future where we all rise together, a future where happiness and success go hand in hand. With unwavering dedication, Nthabiseng Masinga.
