ABI and HCAP offer winter and summer Faculty Development Seminars focused on integrating students’ racial/cultural experiences and educational motivations into our teaching practices. Through guided discussions, guest speakers and breakout rooms, participants reflect on their students’ learning experiences and creating a teaching innovation.
Needs Assessment
ABI is conducting a needs assessment to learn about Asian and Pacific Islander student experiences, with a focus on low-income, English Language Learners and first-generation students. The needs assessment will also disaggregate existing and collected data on the AAPI student population at BMCC. Research will be carried out using surveys, focus groups and interviews.
