Student clubs and organizations are a fun and vital part of the BMCC experience. They are chartered to serve the diverse needs and interests of our students. They are avenues for forming friendships, cultural expression, skill development or aiding you in your future career.
Students United at BMCC is a club on campus where students will congregate with the freedom to openly discuss events encountered in our everyday life and discuss political consciousness and awareness. Through this process, we will gain the power that comes through the knowledge and history of political involvement. This group will also study the ramifications of political involvement and invite guest speakers who have been involved in campus and community organizing. In essence, it will be a club that will help empower students to get involved in their everyday life, especially in working class communities of color. We will also support student academic achievement by creating study groups which involve reading, research and writing.
It is for all Latinos to utilize as a tool in order to further develop then grasp of the Spanish language and culture. Furthermore, it is also a platform in which all may express their points of view whether it is through written works only accepted in Spanish/Spanglish, or art and photography, which is published in its publication of Acentós Latinos Magazine. It will promote and support all materials submitted, as long as it is written in Spanish/Spanglish and addresses Latin culture.

The purpose of the Accounting club is to provide information and advice about accounting both here at BMCC and in the world beyond. Our goal is to build a networking platform between our club members and the four year colleges like Baruch, John Jay and Long island University (L.I.U.) to name a few. We also want to build bridges to CPA firms and industry insiders who can help students become a highly paid and a great Accountant we know you can be!
The purpose of this club/organization shall be to foster learning, exercise, and adventure on the rivers of New York. The club will show its members how to organize and plan rows around the various water bodies that form the city. Members will formally learn how to row. They will learn the names and locations of the various rivers, canals, and streams of the city. They will learn how to read tide charts. They will learn how the current and wind effect rowing vessels; and how to make destination plans accordingly. They will learn principally about the Hudson River. They will learn its tidal pattern, point of origin, and cleanliness of water. They will read and discuss the history of rowing in New York. They will be the naval vanguard of adventure in BMCC.
This club is created for Badminton enthusiasts and fanatics here at BMCC while promoting cultural/ethnic special interests and social networking; introduce an enjoyable, new and intense workout for students and staff and eventually compete with other CUNY schools.
The club provides a forum for students with disabilities, students with friends and family members with disabilities, and students with an interest in disability issues to share their concerns, experiences, and interests in this area. The club is designed to provide both a social opportunity for students with similar interests, and also as an educational forum to allow attention to be focused on areas pertaining to disability awareness and rights. The club will also advocate for the rights and responsibilities of disabled students at BMCC, and show a presence so individuals with disabilities and others may feel more supported in the school.
The Business Enterprise Club is purposed with bringing students information and activities on all things that deal with entrepreneurship. It prepares students for careers in Business by teaching them various skills which they will carry on after their tenure at BMCC.
The Caribbean Student Association's main goal is to establish Caribbean unity and a positive relation among students within the Borough of Manhattan Community College. It is our objective to educate others about the diversities and the similarities of Caribbean cultures.
The purpose of this club is to provide the Catholic theological, worship, intellectual, artistic, and social tradition to the students of Borough of Manhattan Community College. This club also wishes to serve the spiritual and humanistic dimensions of the students of the College. Finally, this club endeavors to be cooperative with all faith traditions in fostering the religious atmosphere of the College.
Our mission is to promote school spirit. We promote school spirit for our teams as well as for ourselves and for all students to do well, succeed & have fun.
The objective of Chinese Culture Association Club (CCA) is to expose students to Chinese culture through activities such as:
1. Learning Chinese language and calligraphy
2. Watching popular Chinese movies with English subtitles to have a better sense of the Chinese language.
3. Inviting guest speakers to talk about Chinese culture (e.g. painting, Calligraphy, acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, etc)
4. Inviting a martial arts master to teach Chinese internal and external exercises such as "Tai Chi" to enhance our physical condition.
The purpose of the Chorus Club is to expose BMCC students to great music and encourage students to work together. Allowing a venue for creativity to be expressed its mission is to give students the opportunity to not only harness and fine-tune their voices but share their gifts with the community at large. Having such an opportunity is essential for we know that music plays an important role in the healing and transformation of millions. Students must audition to be a part of the Chorus club.
The club has a purpose to share different aspects of Dominican Culture with BMCC students. We do this by hosting events that highlight Dominican Culture.
The purpose of this club, will be to appeal to the students of BMCC who have interest in fashion. The club will achieve this through the planning of networking events, enhancing self-image and widening creativity through activities related to fashion.
A club for students who are interested in learning about football and increasing their knowledge of the sport.
Our mission is to create a social setting where students may practice in the French language with ease. We also want to establish a network for students seeking to capitalize on their bi-lingual status. We will help students learn and experience the francophone culture, while creating a cultural exchange between francophone and non-francophone cultures.
The Future Alumni Club's mission is to bring BMCC students together before they graduate to make connections, plan for the future and recognize that the benefits of their BMCC education will last a lifetime.
The Health and Wellness student club aims to promote awareness of health issues among students and to provide opportunities that support healthy behaviors. In addition, students provide peer support to each other while trying to achieve these health goals and may even become interested in studying for and choosing a health career
Hip Not is an independent forum for the expression of artistic, cultural, socio-economic and political communications pertaining to the local, state, federal and world community as it relates to BMCC and the extended CUNY system. It is a neutral, independent medium through which all competing views may find equal representation. Hip Not vigorously seeks out and investigates any and all matters pertaining to impropriety, malfeasance or questionable occasions relevant to the student body of BMCC and the extended CUNY system, and publicly reports all findings of such endeavors upon a complete and thorough investigation. We also establish and provide services for the promotion & reward of academic & literary competitions & excellence among the student body of BMCC and the extended CUNY system.
The Human Services Club is an assembly of students interested in giving back to society though active participation in a number of unique educational, charitable, and communal activities. We work closely with non-profit organizations and partake in several events such as: HIV/AIDS walk, Making Strides against Breast Cancer, Men’s Health Day, and the “Clothing Drive for Covenant House,” a project established to collect garment donations for homeless youth. Additionally, we provide an open forum for guest orators to speak to our members in relation to the countless ways one can assist their communities. All BMCC students are encouraged to join the family. Together we aspire to spark positive change within our communities, our society, and within ourselves.

The purpose of the club is to bring together the students of the Borough of Manhattan Community College, not only the students who form part of the LGBT community, but also everyone who is interested in getting to know what makes us an important part of society.
The model of The Latino Honors Society is to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthen our communities. We care about people, we care about our country and our planet, and we care about the power of progressive, well-reasoned, well-researched ideas. Finally, we show students the opportunities available to them at the college, community, and career level.

BMCC Math Club provides assistance to any student who has problems in math classes, creates an environment where students, peers, and professionals can discuss and share information on new advancements in mathematics, and motivates students to pursue a career involving mathematics.
The purpose of this club is to untie the musical interests of BMCC students for a development and utilization of their musical skills. The Music Club will provide a rehearsal and recording space to its collection of BMCC musicians. The club will also host an annual or semi-annual music presentation performed by the clubs members.

The Students for Veteran's Organization is for veterans and those sympathetic to veteran issues.. Its goal is to serve veterans of the Armed Forces in the BMCC community by providing a multi-faceted support network. Information will be provided to members about veteran benefits and support services. Members will be provided assistance in accessing administrative and educational services at BMCC more efficiently. Administrative attention will be brought to focus on ways to improve services to members leading to better retention and graduation rates. Mental and physical health access will be provided to members.
The Panther Gazette” is the BMCC Newspaper. There are many activities that occur on campus of which students and faculty are not aware. Our objective is to keep all students, as well as staff, informed on everything that is going on or around this college. We believe that it is very important for all to have a newspaper because it is a source through which people become more aware of important issues, events, information, and much more. In being informed, more people can show support for BMCC sports and participate in, and attend events, attend events.
5. Strive for excellence in both academic and religious areas.
A club for students who are interested in learning about ping-pong or table tennis. Members will be able to practice on a weekly basis. Members will be competing against each other and other colleges and universities throughout the semester; which will help to enhance their educational, social, cultural skills.
To create a forum where respiratory therapy students can exchange ideas and support each other, educate the BMCC community on respiratory health issues which affect them and their families. (Smoking, allergies, asthma, etc.)
The purpose of this club is to promote the spiritual life of the students of the Borough Manhattan Community College by providing Biblical Christian education, training and activities for any and all interested students through witness, discipleship, fellowship, worship and prayer.
The purpose of the Sculpture Club is to provide a space for students to appreciate and create three-dimensional expressions using clay and other nontraditional materials, while learning the importance of trust, commitment, and communication in teamwork—because "To Build Is to Grow."
The aim of the soccer club is to foster social relationships between students from different backgrounds with soccer as the medium. The Soccer Club hosts an annual tournament that BMCC students use to help build the BMCC soccer team.
Our mission is to empower students by providing resources, forums, and other tools through which they can educate themselves about the issues affecting humanity, discuss these issues with their peers, and translate their views and ideas for addressing these issues into meaningful action.
