Message from the Interim President to Offsite Faculty (03/11/20)

Dear BMCC Faculty,

As we continue to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, BMCC will provide regular updates about activity at the College.

Our records show that you are teaching courses at other CUNY campuses.  Please continue to check with those respective campuses for updates on course instruction and other notices, which may be different than BMCC.

BMCC remains open, and (as of 3/11/20) we are not aware of any member of the college community testing positive for the Coronavirus.

The BMCC E-Learning Center has created a Course Continuity and Emergency Preparedness website with tutorials, training materials, and tools to support and prepare faculty for possible course disruption. The site includes teaching approaches during emergencies, how to transfer an in-person course to Blackboard, how to use Zoom Web Conferencing, and other useful information. Requests can be submitted to Information Resources and Technology Services at userservices@bmcc.cuny.edu if additional assistance is needed.

Please continue to visit BMCC’s Coronavirus: Information and Resources page for updates. Also, the college will send notices to the email addresses provided in CUNYfirst and through CUNY Alert text messages if necessary. In addition, updates will be posted on BMCC’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin.

In these challenging and uncertain times, we are truly a community working together and taking care of each other. Thank you for your contributions and commitment.
