BMCC Offers Two Seminars on Money for Women

BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE OFFERS TWO SEMINARS ON MONEY AND BUSINESS, SPECIFICALLY FOR WOMEN, MARCH 22 AND 24

Borough of Manhattan Community College will offer two seminars on money and business, geared specifically for women on March 22 and 24. On March 22 from 6 to 8 p.m., BMCC will present “Developing Our Wealth – Understanding and Making Educated Investment and Money Market Decisions.” On March 24, the college will offer “The Business of Successful Ownership and Developing Your Business Plan” for women who are considering opening a business.

The Thursday, March 22 seminar, “Developing Our Wealth – Understanding and Making Educated Investment and Money Market Decisions,” will feature four women specializing in the areas of brokerage, stock market, personal portfolio management, and investment clubs. They will offer advice for women about using credit, investment clubs, and money management, as well as understanding the stock market. The seminar – cosponsored by KIP Business Report – will take place in the BMCC Student Development Center in the Main Lobby from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Saturday, March 24, women who own a variety of businesses will discuss what it really takes to develop, start, and manage a business. This event will take place in the BMCC Student Development Center in the Main Lobby on Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The BMCC Office of Career Development and the BMCC Women’s Resource Center are cosponsoring the seminars for Women’s History Month. Admission to both events is free and open to the public.
