Several documentary videos about writer and activist James Baldwin will be shown on different screens where participants can listen with individual headphones. There will also be open reading and readings by those who signed up to read. Participants will also be invited to replicate Baldwin’s “A Letter to My Nephew” addressing issues going on in our society today. Classes will be provided with links to the video and pdf of “A Letter to my Nephew” to be discussed in classes before the event.
