Scholarship Workshops


The next series of scholarship workshops will take place:

Guttman Transfer Scholarship

This scholarship is for high achieving students who are planning to graduate at the end of the fall 2014 semester and will be attending one of the following colleges: 
    Hunter College     
    Lehman College
    Brooklyn College
    Queens College

The scholarship’s benefits includes:  an award up to $4,000.00, prestigious designation as a “Guttman Scholar” and recognition at the yearly award ceremony. 

This workshop will offer detailed information on the application process.

Guttman Transfer Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who will be graduating at the end of the fall 2014 semester, and are transferring to either Hunter College, Lehman College, Brooklyn College, Queens Colleges or City College in the spring 2015 semester.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must meet  the following criteria:
    graduate from BMCC at the end of the fall 2014 semester,
    graduate with A GPA of 3.5 or higher,
    applied for financial aid and be Pell eligible

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities.  The scholarship awards up to $30,000.00 per year towards tuition. This workshop will give students detailed information, and tips on preparing and sumbmitting a competitive application.
