Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Scholarship Workshops:

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is for outstanding students who would like to pursue research careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering. The scholarship awards up to $7,500.00 per year towards tuition. This workshop will give students detailed information, and tips on preparing and submitting a competitive application

The next workshop will be held in the fall 2024 semester.


Kaplan Leadership Foundation Scholarship Information Session/Workshops:

This workshop is for students interested in becoming a Kaplan Educational Foundation  Scholar. The Kaplan program is a unique program that offers annual scholarships, living stipends and transfer admissions support in addition to leadership training and development for associate’s degree candidates in the NYC area.  Accepted students will participate in the program through the completion of their associate’s degrees, during the transfer to and through completion of a Bachelor’s degree. Below are the basic eligibility criteria

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Completed 24 of 35 non-remedial credits by the end of your current Spring semester.
  • Graduating with an associate’s degree either December 2024 or Spring 2025.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Qualify for federal financial aid.

BMCC Foundation Inc. Scholarship Workshops:

This workshop is for current BMCC students who have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher and have earned 12 or more credits. The workshop will offer tips on how to apply for the BMCC Scholarship. It will also assist students in preparing their on-line scholarship application.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer  Scholarship Workshops:

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities. The scholarship awards up to $55,000.00 per year towards tuition. This workshop will give students detailed information, and tips on preparing and submitting a competitive application
