E-Learning Courses

E-learning is a flexible and exciting way to learn. You will log-on to Blackboard during the time of day that suits you best. Most of your coursework, including class participation, is completed through the Internet. Reading, writing, and time-management skills are critical to your success as an e-learner. E-learning courses are not any easier than face-to-face courses. In fact, they require self-discipline and the ability to work independently. Before you register for the first time, you should complete the e-learning readiness assessment to help you decide if it is for you.

Each e-learning course is the equivalent of the course we offer in the face-to-face format. For the average student, each credit earned involves approximately three hours for coursework per credit hour per week for fifteen weeks. Each course carries the same number of credits, assesses the same learning outcomes, and is taught by a member of the BMCC faculty. Online courses are just as rigorous and demanding as face-to-face classes and involve high levels of interaction through audio, video, discussion boards, e-mail and/or live chat sessions.

Please make sure you can log into Blackboard and your student email before your course begins.
