Dr. Jorge Florez is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at BMCC, CUNY. He received a B.S. in mathematics from the National University of Colombia and a doctoral degree in mathematics from the Graduate Center of CUNY. Before being appointed at BMCC, Dr. Florez has been teaching mathematics at Hunter College since 2011 and has been constantly doing research in the theory of algebraic numbers and modular forms.
