Workshop: Practical AI for Enhancing Daily Work and School Life

The theme of this workshop will be Enhancing Decision Making and Creativity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), led by Dr. Shane Snipes. Professor Snipes is the author of Transforming Education with AI: Guide to Understanding and Using ChatGPT in the Classroom (AI for Education Book 1).

This workshop is the second of a two-part series.

Objective: Explore how AI can support decision-making processes and enhance creativity in daily work and school projects.

Part 1: Interactive Presentation (30 minutes)

  • AI in Decision Making: How AI can assist with analyzing data, generating reports, and providing recommendations.
  • Enhancing Creativity with AI: Using AI for brainstorming, content creation, and design.
  • Ethical Considerations: Ensuring AI-supported decisions and creative processes remain ethical and unbiased.

Part 2: Hands-On Activities (1 hour)

  • Activity 1: Participants use an AI tool to analyze a set of data and assist in making a decision related to their work/school context.
  • Activity 2: Engage with an AI-powered creativity tool to generate ideas or content for a project.
  • Group Discussion: Reflections on the role of AI in enhancing decision-making and creativity, including any ethical considerations.
