Blackout Poetry Snack Break

April 15 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
| Library Foyer (just outside S-410 and S-430)

page of text where everything is blacked out except for a few words, which form a poem

You can find a poem anywhere: in an old textbook, new magazine, or newspaper. All you need is a marker and some imagination.

Please join us outside the library for a Blackout Poetry Snack Break in celebration of National Poetry Month! We’ll supply the text, markers, and SNACKS—all you need to bring is your imagination. Of course, feel free to bring an old book or magazine of your own, if you wish. Check out Book Riot’s Guide to Blackout Poetry to get ideas.

Stop by for ten minutes, a half hour, or longer! We hope to see you there.

This event will be held on campus just outside the entrance to the BMCC Library, Room S-410

Brought to you by the A. Philip Randolph Library and BMCC Reads.
