Musa Elbulok

Dr. Musa Elbulok is Acting Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning, in the BMCC Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics.
His statistical and analytical skills are a proven asset to the College. In 2017, Dr. Elbulok joined the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics as Institutional Research Manager. His hard work and dedication led to his promotion to Director of Institutional Research and Data Analysis in 2021.

In his new role as Acting Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning, Dr. Elbulok will direct operations for the analysis and reporting of data on student learning outcomes, institutional effectiveness and other areas that inform the College’s Strategic Plan, programs, services and policies.

Dr. Elbulok will also provide leadership related to BMCC’s compliance with mandatory federal, state, city and CUNY reports, grant applications and projects. As Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), he will keep abreast of developments related to BMCC’s accreditation status. His responsibilities will encompass researching and reporting activities, working with deans and department chairs at BMCC to implement and evaluate academic program reviews, and assessing student learning.

Dr. Elbulok is an adjunct assistant professor in the Statistics Department at Columbia University. Earlier roles included serving as an Enrollment Management Research Specialist at Baruch College, CUNY, and as both an Enrollment Services Center Supervisor and Research Assistant at Brooklyn College, CUNY.

In 2021, Dr. Elbulok was awarded a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation from Teachers College, Columbia University. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College.
