Expertise
The work i do is often related to the radical painting group. I met with them in the early 80’s and have shown with different members of the group since then. I do monochrome pieces that are shown alone; sometimes i show more than one panel creating a composition on the wall; the paintings can be separate or joined; i also make shaped pieces.
Primal forms have played an important role in my philosophy. In my student years i became interested in the forms that are seen in all cultures; the square, the circle, the cross, the vesiculs pieces, the spiral, and the four and the nine square division of a square. I am not interested in the attatched meaning to these forms ; for myself the cross is not a christian symbol , it is a universal form. Since 1974 my palette has primarly been limited to the primaries and black and white; there are some variations.
