March 1 Career Casino Helps Students Prepare for Career Fair on March 8
The BMCC Center for Career Development presented a Career Casino in Richard Harris Terrace on March 1, with raffles prizes, music and refreshments — as well as practical advice and coaching for next week’s Career Fair. Part of the Career Center’s March Madness events, the Career Casino "encouraged students to use the Center for Career Development’s many services, as they explore and prepare for job interviews. The casino theme lends some excitement to the concept of job search. If you don’t ‘put your hand in’, you’ll never know if you’re a winner.” Rahim Siam, a Computer Information Systems major, helped present the event. “It was a place for students to explore strategies for successful job searches,” he said. “It will help them feel more ready for the BMCC Career Fair coming up on March 8."
