“These paintings aren’t much more than images that I needed to make.  Some images, whether I encounter them in reality or in my imagination, just need to be painted and put out into the world, but I don’t expect anything back.  I am compelled by something intrinsic, beautiful, and beguiling.  The specific meaning can be as clear as a simple poem, and/or elusive like the perfect raisin.”
