Women's Resource Center

The Women’s Resource Center helps to promote and sponsor activities supporting women's health and well-being. Special programs, seminars, and workshops are designed to educate and bring awareness to the entire BMCC Community. These educational programs address topics such as leadership development, gender identity, wellness, domestic violence, stress management, parenting, relationships, and academia.

Student Involvement

The WRC staff members facilitate weekly support groups and collaborate with students through its Sister2Sister Peer Mentoring Program, Volunteerism, the Sisterhood Society Club. Our focus is leadership development through social activism, community building and partnership. We organize a yearly Student Women's Leadership Conference and Outdoor Retreat. The Center provides referrals through a network of external social service agencies and resources within the college.

Yearly Commerative Events

The Women's Resource Center participates in organizing the annual Women's Herstory Month, Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Pride Month events at BMCC.

Help build NYC's first permanent catalog of women activists.
